The WE: Foundation is implementing various environmental programs to ensure a safer and cleaner world for future generations.
Through initiatives such as the Classroom Forest, Forest Restoration & Tree-Planting, and the Green School Walkway, we aim to promote environmental preservation and create safer, healthier school environments, protecting students from traffic accidents and exposure to fine dust.
As part of our commitment to fulfilling our environmental responsibilities, the WE: Foundation will persistently strive to implement climate response and sustainability initiatives.

This program aims to bring a greener, healthier environment to elementary schools in areas where constructing Green School Walkways is challenging due to neighborhood characteristics. By filling study spaces with plants, we transform classrooms into vibrant green forests, creating a more pleasant and inviting learning environment that helps students grow their appreciation for nature.
The WE: Foundation will carry on the legacy of Volkswagen Group Korea’s CSR activities—dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of environmental protection, carbon neutrality, and biodiversity—and strive to highlight the importance of collective action and inspire individuals to make everyday contributions.

Tree planting helps reduce air pollutants, improve forest landscapes, prevent landslides, secure biodiversity, heal forests, and mitigate heat islands. Our forest restoration and tree-planting project aims to plant 3 billion trees in Korea and globally by 2050, reducing 34 million tons of CO2 emissions.
The WE: Foundation will remain dedicated to protecting people from air pollution-related illnesses, restoring forests, and preserving the forest ecosystem.

The Green School Walkway project transforms school surroundings into green spaces, providing a pleasant and safe educational environment for future talents. Approximately 1.3 million students have benefited from reduced noise and fine dust, feeling less stress on their way to school.
